:10 Topics | Se. 1, Ep. 1 | On the Offensive

I really liked the short-form style of Leslie's "12 second seekrits" videos, so I asked her if I could snag the style for myself and use it.

Short form videos are great for getting ideas out there without the need to fully flesh them out. The are easy to produce and I can crank out like 6 in one night if I'm feeling really good about them.

I hope that people enjoy and respond to them in a similar fashion to the way they respond to my other videos, because I didn't want to take away the discussion aspect of the videos, I just wanted to be able to produce more videos in a week, and this seemed like a viable option for me.

I've been thinking about this particular topic for a long time, and it recently cropped back up when James posted a video called "12 second truths" which, while not being directed at me, had a certain amount of application to me. I'm very aware of the potential of alienating my friends because of perceived "name-dropping" and really steer clear of doing it as much as possible. James is very keen to pick up on anytime I do "drop a name" and tends to call me out. I'm not sure how often he is correct, but anyway, that's what got this ball rolling. He didn't intend to offend, it just sorta dropped that way.
